I started off by saying I don't know if I'll be able to attend the bike ride.

I attended the bike ride and then said I don't know if I'll stay the whole time.

I stayed the whole time for the bike ride, and ended up staying for the meeting that I didn't know what's happening. Fortunately, I and four others brought bug spray.

I, and some others, took on some responsibilities and helping keep the group going.

And now I have a paying gig!
